Tag

  1. There are options to print all tags all at once or select which tags to print.
  2. Printing 10 tags at a time then tagging the 10 items helps when you are planning to add a lot of items to the sale.
  3. Print Tags (on white cardstock paper)
  4. Cut out tags
  5. Secure tags
  6. All items must be tagged at drop off and clothing on METAL hangers. No exceptions.
  7. All tags must be crisp and clear with no fuzzy lines and printed with black ink on white card stock.
    • To help with retrieving your items visually more efficiently- Use specific colored duct tape on neck of hanger or a stamp on your tag (that does not impede on the barcode) We will sort your hangers, and you will get them back at the end of the sale.

Tagging Supplies:

Metal Hangers ONLY

Zip Ties or yarn for connecting shoes

65 Lb cardstock or higher on any light color

Ziploc bags for small/loose toys- tape tag to the outside of baggie

Packaging Tape

Large Safety pins

Tagging gun with barbs (please purchase fine needle tip versions)

Tagging Guidelines:

Clothing Items

  1. Make sure hanger opens to the left (like a question mark) and secured. See picture below
  2. Pants/Skirts must be pinned to the angled top part of the hanger
  3. Clothing items MUST BE hung in the hanger through the neck and arms.
  4. Use large safety pins for heavier items. Do not fold pants over the hanger.
  5. Consider using zip ties to attach items when applicable.
  6. No limit on the number of items you bring.
  7. Consider a unique identifier on your hanger to make pickup of unsold items easier (ie: ribbon tied to top, unique tape around top, stamp on tag that does not impede on visibility of consignor number and barcode)
  8. Tag must be either attached with a tagging gun (secure tag either through neck tag or right armpit of garment to avoid putting holes in the items)
  9. Outfits: Hang top piece on hanger with hook to the left. Flip over and attach second piece to the back facing outward.

Shoes

  1. All shoes must be zip tied together.  Tag should have a hole punched and run through zip tie, before closing
  2. Do not use a plastic bag for shoes unless you are unable to zip tie the shoes together.
  3. NO WET SHOES!  Make sure you clean them and give them time to dry.

Toys

  1. Make sure the item has MOST pieces. If you cannot use the item without all the pieces, please do not bring it.
  2. Secure any loose items in a plastic bag.  Bag must be secured to toy with either a zip tie or packaging tape.  I suggest listing your consignor number on the bag.
  3. Make sure all toys that require batteries, have batteries and work.  You can buy cheap batteries at the dollar store. Toy will not be accepted if there are no working batteries.

Books

  1. Single books – secure tag to back cover.
  2. Bundles of books – place in Ziploc bag and seal, or secure with strong twine or present curling ribbon.  Secure tag to cover.

Puzzles & Games

  1. Make sure all pieces are included.
  2. Tape sides of box to seal package shut.  Adhere tag to outside of package.
  3. If selling a board puzzle (without a box), put the puzzle in a Ziploc bag and seal shut.  If it’s large, you may need to use two bags. If you prefer to wrap the puzzle, put together on the board, in plastic wrap, make sure the wrap is tightly secured so no pieces fall out.
  4. Children are great at making sure everything is complete! Please do not bring unless you know it is complete.

Big Items

  1. Big item claim tickets will be available at drop off- it is your job to let us know if any items that are $25+ dollars or are important to you.  When you get to the sale, you will fill out the big item claim ticket and put your bar-coded tag on the ticket.

Socks/Hats

  1. Secure socks in Ziploc bags and attach tag to outside.
  2. If selling a single hat, attach tag to item with safety pin or tagging gun.
  3. Tags can be secured to the item or secured to the outside of a bag. Just make sure the tag is secure and will not come off the item.

This is a guideline to best practice to make sure items have proper tags so they can be sold. Any tag that comes off prevents item from being sold and any garmet/item that is tagless will be placed in a “missing tag” bin at the end of the sale. You must provide us with inventory proof of description to claim item back to assure safety and security for all our consignors.

We are here for you every step of the way and are always there to help guide at drop off!
